img_2774And so we bring 2016 to a close for Bushin. Great class last night, was loads of fun and yet was somehow just as knackering as normal!

The club has evolved and changed so much over this last year, we have tried many things behind the scenes to keep getting better and to keep pushing the standards up whilst maintaining an atmosphere that shows our club is a family with a close knit group of Bushinites. Lots of hard work was done to bring fresh faces into the club and we have picked up so many fantastic new students who embody the same ideals that Sensei and us seniors are all re-energised to impart our knowledge and experience to the next generation!. A testament to the new guys working hard can be shown in Des, who won two awards last night, he has attended the most lessons and improved the most, the double whammy! Congratulations! I am happy I finally got my Instructor Level One pass, onwards to Level 2!

As we can all see, we can all still have targets within the club, even at the top end, so we never stop improving and we will strive to keep up and exceed this good work in 2017. If any of you guys have an idea you think will benefit the club or want a chat in general, just grab a senior and share!

Finally, keep an eye out over Christmas for the 2017 Calendar. I have seen the provisional one and it is even more jam packed! It just shows what we think of the potential of this group and what we would like to share with you. As Sensei said last night, don’t get too lazy over the break! Do some exercise, think about your Bushin aims for next year and start planning about how you will achieve them. We have a Whatsapp group so feel free to suggest meet ups over the Christmas period and don’t become strangers again! I personally want to see Sensei on a punching machine again. Trust me, his first attempt was not that impressive…

First class back is January 3rd and believe me, me will be back with a bang. No easing back in for us lot!

Have a fantastic break and see you all in 2017!
